The troubled economy is hurting our Jewish Community.
Gail lives in Loveland. On her way to work 12 years ago she was involved in a major car accident. She was hit by another car, and her car flipped over and caught on fire.
“One day you are fine, healthy, you can walk and do things you always did. Then, quickly, because of someone else's negligence, that quality of life was taken away from me and has put me in permanent, lifelong pain that will always be with me.”
This year the economic crisis has had a deep impact on her life. “It's embarrassing to admit that I can’t afford my basic needs in this economy. The JFS food pantry frees money for other things like doctor bills, medical needs and clothing. Just having that relief takes a lot of stress off my life.”
Jewish Family Service has provided Gail with emergency financial assistance from the Chaver Fund to help with her increased living expenses.
