About the Jewish Foundation Matching Grant

The Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati is again offering a generous matching grant for the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati's annual Community Campaign.

For the sixth consecutive year, The Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati is offering a matching grant to encourage donors to increase their giving and to attract new donors to the Community Campaign. A broad base of committed individual donors is crucial to meeting the ongoing needs of our community.

The matching dollars given by the Foundation will be used to help us not only sustain our present but also—by advancing the goals of Cincinnati 2020—secure our future as a welcoming Jewish community that provides an exceptional quality of life for every one of us. The programs and initiatives funded by the matching grant engage younger generations, encourage leadership and charitable giving, build connections to Israel, strengthen our local agencies, inspire innovation and more.

To recognize the many donors who took advantage of last year's match by increasing their giving (and therefore their impact on the community), this year’s match consists of two parts, BOTH of which can be applied to any one gift:

  • Qualifying* new gifts or increased portions of gifts that were made to the 2017 Community Campaign, and maintained for the 2018 Community Campaign, will be matched 1:1 this year.

  • Qualifying* new gifts or increased portions of gifts made to the 2018 Community Campaign will be matched 2:1 this year.

* Gift commitments must be made by May 31, 2018, to qualify for this matching grant.
