Dr. Michael Meyer, "Explaining Anti-Semitism: Then and Now"

Dr. Michael Meyer will discuss the various explanations for antisemitism and analyze its causes. He will trace its changing nature from ancient times down to the present and will look at the contemporary situation in relation to its recent rise in the United States and its connection to anti-Zionism.

Michael Meyer received his doctorate from HUC and has taught at the various campuses since 1964. He is currently he is currently the Adolph S. Ochs Professor of Jewish History Emeritus at the Cincinnati campus. Professor Meyers is renowned for his scholarship in Jewish history with a focus on German Jewish history.
