Our Heavenly Jewish Stars!

The Wendy Kanter Fund will sponsor the final Broadway Concert on Clifton for the year.  We will investigate what made the greatest songs, shows and performers "Jewish"-their stories, their themes, their message, their upbringing, their ethnicity.  Israel Baline, Jacob Gershovitz, Asa Yoelson, Hyman Arlusky, Louis Bernstein, Vladimir Dukelsky, all became American songwriters and Broadway showmen whose songs we all know-just not thir orginal names! They and so many are our Heavenly Jewish Stars!!

Spend a little time at the Skirball Museum before the concert between 1pm and 3:30pm! Skirball director Abby Schwartz and Jewish-American Hall of Fame founder Mel Wacks will be on hand for informal conversation about musicians and entertainers in the Jewish-American Hall of Fame.
