Songs of Warning, Tragedy and Resistance

On the 81st anniversary of Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass) Dr. Tamara Reps Freeman, violist and ethnomusicologist, will illuminate stories in response to this tragic event through the words and music of composers interned in the ghettos and concentration camps. Her performance includes local perspectives and the playing of archival melodies on her 1935 Joseph Bausch viola, rescued from the Holocaust.
