As part of the celebration of the Jewish Cincinnati Bicentennial, join the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati’s Jewish Community Relations Council Leaders in Light and the Mercantile Library for a series of conversations about the state of American democracy and the crisis of extremism and polarization. Global experts on these topics will unpack what’s holding us back, and shed light on shared pathways forward towards a healthier and more just shared society. This hybrid series is sponsored by First Commonwealth Bank.

This event will feature Jay Van Bavel, Associate Professor of Psychology, New York University.

The program will begin at 6:30PM and is FREE & open to the public. To attend virtually, register HERE.

Jay Van Bavel is the Director of NYU’s Social Identity & Morality Lab and the author of The Power of Us. His research is on how cognitive neuroscience informs group identity and what that tells us about how to combat polarization.

Presented in partnership with the Jewish Community Relations Council of Cincinnati Leaders in Light Institute and Jewish Cincinnati Bicentennial.
