After reflecting on our year of Wise Journey anniversary celebrations, honoring 175 years as a congregation and 150 years of Plum Street Temple, we will get a close-up look at the Torah scroll 1,500 Wise Temple members scribed letters in, and prepare for the upcoming High Holy Days with a moving S’lichot service and endless desserts.
The evening begins with Sofer Neil Yerman helping us scribe the final letters in Plum Street Temple’s new member-written Torah scroll, which we will then dedicate to Plum Street Temple, its forever home. Also enjoy:
-- The awe-inspiring feeling of seeing our scroll that we wrote together up-close, with beautiful Plum Street Temple as the backdrop
-- Taking in a palpable feeling of pride, Jewish identity, and legacy. Sharing our rich history and our hopes for our future
-- A poetic, peaceful, reflective, and spiritual S’lichot service
-- Exchanging stories with one another about our Wise Journey experiences over endless desserts
