Beyond Civility

5:30PM - 8:30PM

The Beyond Civility Project will be hosting a community-wide program focusing on the "Role of Government" and how it should work for the people. Relationships and discourse have eroded over the last decade, especially since the recent election. Can we heal and move forward? As individuals? As a country? Should we? Jonathan Haidt, bestselling author of The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion, explains the research on the different ways conservatives and liberals view the world and how those differences contribute to the polarization we are experiencing. Join us next month to explore these differences with two Republicans and two Democrats, and discuss Haidt's response on how to solve our deep divisions: love.

The program is in partnership with the Jewish Community Relations Council and the Mayerson JCC.
