This programs connects Cincinnati young adults who are in Israel on long-term programs, Lone Soldiers, and Olim, with "hosts" in Netanya. The process includes inviting these Cincinnatians to Netanya for Shabbat dinners, getting together for coffee or enjoying a local bar, or simply providing support and answering questions. The goal is to initiate a bond with an Israeli family or peer, and to create a permanent Netanya host family for the Cincinnati visitor.
As part of the summer trip to Israel, American teens travel with their Israeli teen peers and experience Israel through and with their peers. The Israeli teens come from our Partnership city of Netanya, and in most cases, have already bonded with the Americans through the previous summer experience in Camp Livingston AU.
Each year, Cincinnati runs its own March of the Living (MOTL) trip in the spring. During the trip, Netanya peers host Cincinnati teen visitors for a special Yom HaAtzmaut celebration and evening in Netanya.
This college internship program brings Cincinnati students to Israel for eight weeks during the summer. During this time in Israel, Netanya young adults host the visiting Cincinnati college students and host a Shabbaton. They also join the Cincinnati delegation for a separate Shabbat dinner in Tel Aviv.
