The statistics are staggering: serious violent crimes are more than three times as likely to impact disabled people. Learn how to recognize signs of abuse, how to access and use resources for support, and the importance of self-advocacy. This panel discussion will feature individuals from YWCA’s Project CARE, Project CARE Self-Advocates, and Hamilton County Department of Developmental Disability Services (HCDDS). This program is presented in partnership with YWCA’s Project CARE, a community collaborative driven by the vision that people with disabilities be empowered to access highly effective services that are welcoming, comprehensive, and without barriers.
