The American Jewish Committee (AJC) combats bigotry and discrimination, promotes human and civil rights, supports Israel's right to exist in peace and security, and advocates public policy positions rooted in American democratic values.  Members are actively involved in critical issues, building coalitions, and advocacy with elected officials.  Our Lazarus Awards program recognizes outstanding high school volunteers from public, private and parochial schools.  Our signature programs include a Thanksgiving Diversity event focusing on the benefits of immigration and the Community Intergroup Seder, at which we share the Jewish festival of freedom with church and parochial school groups.
