Rockwern’s Dor L’Dor program places older adults, including local Holocaust survivors, in classrooms to interact with students and instill intergenerational learning. The students establish wonderful relationships with these volunteers, who are also invited to school celebrations. At the end of each school year, students thank the volunteers with flowers, cards, and speeches at a Dor L’Dor appreciation event.
