On October 10th, over 50 teens gathered at the Mayerson JCC to remember the lives lost on October 7. It was an evening full of emotion and reflection. Together, they made chocolate balls in honor of Uriel Baruch, created a “Path to Peace” with rock drawings, and wrote heartfelt letters to soldiers. The teens also tied yellow balloons into an arch, symbolizing hope for the safe return of all those still held hostage. Alon Leichman, the Reds’ assistant pitching coach, shared his personal story and led a conversation with the teens centered around their feelings and experiences. Thank you to everyone who was able to come out and take part in this meaningful event and to all the event partners: NCSY Cincinnati, ish: Cincinnati Jewish Arts & Culture, Cincinnati BBYO, Walnut Hills JSU, Sycamore JSU, Adath Israel USY.
