For many parents, the hope is simple. We want our kids to feel grounded and connected to who they are. For Alla and her daughters, Danielle and Arielle, that feeling finally arrived at Camp Livingston.
Their family splits its time between Israel and Cincinnati, which can make belonging complicated. Then came a summer that changed everything.
“The Cincy Journeys grant has been wonderful for my girls,” Alla shared. “The opportunity to go to Camp Livingston...made for a much smoother transition. It has been a magical place for them to seamlessly combine their Israeli and American Jewish identities. They cannot wait to go back.”
This is exactly what Jewish overnight camp can do. And it is exactly why the Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati and we invest in Cincy Journeys. With the support of our community, hundreds of local kids receive camp grants every year. These grants open doors for families. They help children strengthen Jewish identity, find lifelong friends, and feel truly at home.
Cincy Journeys applications for next summer’s camp grants are now open.
