SAFE Cincinnati is working closely with our local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, the Secure Community Network (SCN), our Ohio Federation security partners and all our Cincinnati Jewish nonprofit organizations to protect Jewish institutions and gatherings across Greater Cincinnati.
Protecting our community starts with protecting ourselves.
Though we work closely with our law enforcement partners, we must look to ourselves as the first line of protection in security matters. As always, SAFE Cincinnati emphatically encourages each of our partners to practice the highest level of security at all times. Each organization must maintain fully operational physical security measures and strictly enforce all of its security protocols at all times. Only through exercising “Relaxed Awareness” and strictly maintaining our security measures can we help to make our Shabbat services, religious schools and community events more secure.
What you can do:
- If you see something concerning, online or in person, please call 911 for suspicious activities in your presence first, and then inform SAFE Cincinnati at 513-540-3873
- Report an antisemitic incident through our online form at jewishcincinnati.org/connect/report-antisemitism.
- Talk to your synagogue or institution about their security protocols. If you have questions, reach out to SAFE Cincinnati.
- Stay aware of your surroundings at Jewish community events. This is not about fear. It’s about looking out for each other.
