Embassy move considered; IDF soldier killed: Israel Update

 

US Vice President Mike Pence said on Tuesday that President Donald Trump is actively considering "when and how" to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Pence made the comment in remarks at Israel’s Mission to the United Nations in Queens, at an event celebrating the 70th anniversary of the United Nations’ vote calling for the establishment of a Jewish state. Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, also spoke at the celebration. In response to the potential embassy move, the UN General Assembly voted overwhelmingly to disavow Israeli ties to Jerusalem as part of six anti-Israel resolutions it approved on Thursday in New York.
