Netanyahu visits Trump; mixed views on peace process: Israel Update

President Donald Trump hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Wednesday. The two met and held a joint press conference amid differing messages emanating from the Trump administration about its stance on the two-state solution in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. "I'm looking at two states and one state, and I like the one both parties like," Trump said. "I can live with either one." In addition to touching on the peace process, the meetings focused on the Iran nuclear deal, recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, the Syrian conflict, the rise in antisemitism in the U.S., and settlement expansion. The JCRC has responded to the press conference with a statement. More >
