Celebrating Passover is a beautiful tradition that requires special food to properly observe the holiday. However, it can be difficult for families living on a limited budget to afford the high cost of Passover food.

Every year, Jewish Family Service asks community members like you to donate money or volunteer time to our annual Dr. Samuel S. Rockwern Passover Delivery Project of Jewish Family Service. With the proceeds from the donations, our dedicated volunteers source and purchase fresh produce, frozen kosher Passover meals, and additional kosher-for-Passover packaged items to make the traditional Passover meal complete.

When all food items have been collected (from gefilte fish and chicken to apples and macaroons), they are sorted, assembled, and carefully packaged for delivery. These bags are then delivered by volunteers in plenty of time for Passover. In this small but meaningful way, we believe we are bringing the holiday of Passover into the homes of vulnerable families and older adults throughout the Cincinnati region.

The Passover Delivery Project relies on contributions from the community. Without the support of hundreds of individual donors, like you, we could not offer to help all the good people who need it.  Your gift will provide Passover meals for vulnerable families and home-bound adults in our community. Your donation makes a difference. Donations in excess of what is needed to provide Passover Delivery meals will support Jewish Family Service Heldman Family Food Pantry.

Passover Delivery Project meals will be delivered on Sunday, March 21, 2021. Sign up here to volunteer to help distribute meals. Pickup will be outdoors in a safe, contact-free setting.
