We are mourning the destruction of black lives, the loss of life, health, and normalcy due to the pandemic and so many other modern tragedies, big and small. On Tisha B’av, described as the saddest day in the Jewish year, we commemorate the destruction of the Temple and other tragedies in Jewish history. Join us for a meaningful program in which we will connect to one other and to our tradition. We will share stories and discuss contemporary social justice issues in the context of this day of mourning. After shedding light on the destruction that exists in our own world, we can then transition toward resilience and building a more equitable future.

This event is in partnership with Jewish Community Relations Council and will be led by the Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati fellows at both the Mayerson JCC, Rebecca Benoff, and Jewish Community Relations Council, Shirah Kraus.
